Becoming a mother can be a very exciting, but overwhelming life transition. Mood changes, self-doubt, and bouts of depression and anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum period can be part of our motherhood journey. On average, one in five moms experience a postpartum mood or anxiety disorder which can include (but is not limited to) symptoms such as:
Tiredness, lack of energy
Change of appetite, problems with sleep
Nervousness, frequent worrying
Lack of feeling bonded with baby
Whether you’ve been diagnosed with postpartum depression or anxiety, or simply need a safe place to discuss the challenges of motherhood, we invite you to join our Pregnancy and Postpartum Stress Support Group.
Led by two moms, a midwife and a licensed psychologist, our group is designed for local moms who wish to connect with other moms in a safe and welcoming environment. This group is about taking and receiving emotional support, learning from and about each other, practicing self-compassion, increasing our confidence, and nurturing our abilities as moms.
Dates: Every Tuesday from 10:30am-12pm, starting September 6th. Please note, we will not meet on Tuesday December 27th.
Fee: 10-week series: $250
5-week series: $140
If you’d like to try the group before committing to the 5 or 10-week series, you can drop in for $30 for the initial session. If you choose to continue with the series, the $30 will be applied to the overall cost.
Enrollment is ongoing; you may start at any time.
Babies in arms are welcome, though we ask that toddlers and older children stay home so we can be better focused during the group.
To register, please select the option above, and then we will contact you to get you all set up.
